House is kinda an idiot actually - He underestimates Benny, thinking he's no threat and isn't even aware of the platinum chip's importance, when in truth Benny was just like two steps away from killing House and taking over the city - He passes off Brotherhood of steel as technofetishistic fanatics, when other games and especially noncanon ones show us that it can be so much more - While having Caesar's Legion and NCR on his doorstep, he actually thinks Kings could be a threat. F*cking Kings. And he completely disregards the fact that they're the ones who keep the city running, while he f*cked off to his ivory towers. - Speaking of the Legion, he completely underestimates the real, physical, as well as ideological threat that Legion poses, despite Legion spies already in his city and some of his casinos already cooperating in Legion's invasion - And finally, he insults the Courier while within golfclubbing distance He's basically a perfect representation of those capitalists who think that because they're rich they're obviously self earned and intelligent.

It takes a lot of set up, but if you go to vault 34, (I did it without veronica) and do the whole vault and go into the armory, in pearls barracks there is a key to unlock the box and you can get the pulse gun which is extremely useful for taking out power armor paladins and turrets. An anti material rifle (what I used) or other good damage weapon should work good for scribes. After killing them all (recommend bringing lots of ammo for the pulse gun and stimpaks) you can sell their armor and weapons for a ton. It takes a while to get it all out, but like I said sells for a ton. You do need to be careful as it seems patrols will spawn outside, I'm not sure if they respawn like most outside enemys, but they also have stuff you can sell.

Looking through the comments, a lot of people were quoting Andrew Ryan...And a lot of people confusing Rene Auberjonois (Mr. House) as his voice actor. Andrew Ryan was actually voided by Armin Shimmerman, aka Quark from Star Trek Deep Space Nine. On the show, Quark (Armin) and the security chief Odo (played by Rene) were rivals. So I just wanted to point this out.

The House solution is the best on in FONV. He's a benevolent dictator along the lines of Lee Kuan Hew of Singapore. Murdering him does indeed drive a stake into the heart of humanity's future. It's quite despicable.

It's a shame that this scene wasn't thought out more. Clearly this is one of the things that was rushed during development. It is WAY too easy to kill Mr. House in this game. The only thing that stands between you and him are two securitrons, which you can just rush past without even trying to fight and they don't even follow you. No passwords, no locked doors, not even turrets. It's actually embarrassing, considering that Mr. House is supposed to be a very pragmatic individual who thinks of everything.
